My First Arran Blog

June 24th, 2010 by admin

Well here goes with my very first blog from Arran – and what a fabulous time to be writing my first Arran blog….

The weather here on Arran has been absolutely beautiful for the last week or two. Quite frankly with all the palm trees Arran is famous for and the beautiful white beaches it has felt more like the Mediterranean than what people commonly expect our Scottish weather to be!

The thing is, at this time of year Arran seems so much better than the Mediterranean – there is mile after mile of white sandy beaches with no body on them, absolutely no high rise, no pollution and no noise. It’s not surprising that so many people choose to visit Arran year after year and that so many of us have decided to move here permanently. Come and see why for yourself.

The climate on Arran is relatively kind to us throughout the year too, as we are actually touched by the Gulf Stream.

In the coming months there are going to be lots of festivals and events on the island, so in my coming blogs I will try and pull together some of the highlights of our calendar.
