Welcome to our Wee House, situated a short walk (approx 170 metres) from the beach. Our cosy wooden cottage reminiscent of Cape Cod style sits in the row behind Hamilton Terrace and is a wee perfect haven for a relaxing holiday.

Built in the early 1900s the property is full of character and offers a private garden with seating and beautiful views over the hills.

This house has an open plan living room/kitchen/utility room equipped with a wood burning stove, an induction cooker, dishwasher and washing machine.

Downstairs

We have a double bedroom to the front of the property. In addition to open plan living/kitchen/utility room there is a full bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. Upstairs there is a twin bedroom. The cottage has a wood burning stove, underfloor heating and electric radiators. A gas boiler provides constant hot water.

In addition to a choice of cafes/restaurants and bars the supermarket is open daily from 8am-10pm – all within easy walking distance of 1-10 minutes – you will find this cottage uniquely located for your holiday. There is an abundance of good food to be enjoyed in Lamlash including the Pier Café, Made in Arran tea room, The Lamlash Bay Hotel, The Glenisle Hotel, The Pierhead Tavern, The Drift Inn and Duncan’s on the Green. Further afield the French Fox, The Parlour, Auchrannie, Douglas Hotel and Little Rock in Brodick are all highly recommended. However, a holidaywould not be complete without a visit to Mara in Corrie.

With an abundance of beautiful scenery, Arran offers a host of activities which are on your doorstep when staying in this cottage. Tennis courts, putting green and swing parks are within a few minutes walk of your holiday home.

Otter’s Tail offer kayaking to the Holy Isle and Gorge walking.

If Kayaking is not your thing there is a ferry service to the tranquil Holy Isle which offers an opportunity to meet the Buddhist Monks resident there and also to walk amongst the wild horses and enjoy views back to beautiful Lamlash Bay. Lamlash Golf course is one of 7 on the island and, of course, there are many peaks to be conquered by hill walkers, including Goatfell. Horse riding is available at North Sannox and Blackwaterfoot.

Brodick Castle and its beautiful and extensive gardens and the fabulous “The Isle be Wild” adventure play park welcome visitors. The Arran Heritage Museum will take you on a journey to the past and offer well deserved sustenance.

For those seeking a little bit of pampering, Heather Lodge in Brodick has a fantastic team of skilled therapists and Spa packages are available at ASPA at the Auchrannie. The Auchrannie also offers a swimming pool and games hall which is available for hire for badminton, football, table tennis etc.

Arran has a number of local boutique industries such as Arran Ice Cream, Arran Aromatics, Arran Cheese, The Arran Brewery, two Distilleries at Lochranza and Lagg and Arran Botanicals.
