Briggs Cottage is part of Blackwaterfoot Lodge, our family business of 23 years. We gave the cottage a thorough overhaul (completely gutted it)  in 2022 and named it in honour of our spaniel, Brigg.  We hope you enjoy our wee holiday property in Blackwaterfoot near the sea and harbour.

Interior

• Briggs Cottage is fully equipped for two persons and extends to about 50m² over two floors. Please note there is a turned staircase of 9 steps.
• The bedroom can be configured either as a twin or super king.
• The shower/laundry room is off the bedroom.
• The kitchen has a gas hob, built in oven, microwave and under counter fridge. It’s very well equipped.
• Biomass central heating easily controlled in the cottage in any weather.
• The lounge is open plan to the kitchen. TV via satellite and fast broadband.
• The cottage is in the grounds of the Blackwaterfoot Lodge, but access is private and a small patio is hidden and gated. A perfect suntrap .There is a drying green to the rear of the property for guest use.

Outside

• Briggs Cottage is conveniently located in the village of Blackwaterfoot with all its amenities: viz: a licensed convenience store and post office, a sandwich shop, a bakery, a butcher and a newsagent.
• It’s two minute walk (250 metres) to the harbour and another 500 metres to the sandy beach beyond.
• It’s 700 metres to the World famous 12-hole Shiskine  golf course, a 10 minute amble for most folk’ One hundred metres (2 minutes) in the opposite direction is pony trekking.
• Beautiful sunsets over the Sound of Kilbrannon

Dogs

We welcome well behaved dogs. Please speak to the owner if bringing more than one dog.  We will supply a variety of towels and blankets, always handy after walks and for those pets who that just have to sit right beside you on the sofa!
