The Old Schoolhouse is set in the heart of the small village of Kilmory and is a short walk to the beach – a stretch of golden sand with amazing views across to Ailsa Craig, the Ayrshire coast and on a clear day, Northern Ireland. From here there’s a network of forestry paths to walk or cycle and the new distillery a mile down the road. If you are a nature lover, this is the place for you and you can expect to see seals, otters, red squirrels, bird species aplenty as well as abundant flora.
The space The house has three bedrooms, one has a kingsize bed, the second bedroom has twin beds and the third bedroom has a small single bed (5ft 9in) suitable for shorter adults or teenagers.
Guest access Our guests have full use of the whole house including front and back garden.
Check in time is 4pm (not before please as we need this time to prepare the house after previous guests have left). Check out time is 9.45am.
Other things to note
The main ferry ports are at Brodick and Lochranza. Most folk arrive at Brodick and booking your car on the ferry is essential – Contact www.calmac.co.uk There are shops in Brodick, Lamlash and Whiting Bay where you can stock up with everything you need before coming to Kilmory.
