Avoca is a charming period house which has been lovingly restored with stunning views to the Clyde and Ayrshire coastline and Whiting Bay village. Inside the house has the feel of a beach house with its traditional style, cosy, easy living with all your comforts in mind.

Avoca has a kitchen/garden room come diner, lounge, entrance hall with downstairs toilet. There are two bedrooms one with a king size bed and the other with two single beds which can be joined, both rooms have TVs and dressing tables.

The bathroom has a double ended bath with shower. The kitchen/diner has a huge picture window overlooking the beech tree and burn which runs along the side of the garden. In the winter with the leaves off the tree you can sit on the window seats and soak up the stunning view of Holy Isle which are revealed. If that view is not enough all the rooms have windows which face the bay maximising the view and the sunrise. Also giving a prime location to watch the varied ships and naval exercises on the Clyde.

The lounge has two sofas and wood-burning stove with a 40 inch smart TV. Delightfully appealing and beautifully situated there is a lovely patio at the back which is a perfect sun trap, surrounding the patio the extensively planted garden bursts with colour. Avoca sits elevated from the road and looks down onto the village of Whiting Bay which is perfect for the many eating places and cafes, sitting, walking, swimming, beach combing, angling, kayaking, biking and putting. The island also has 7 challenging golf courses. Whiting Bay is surrounded by its many beautiful walks, The Point at Kings Cross, Glen Ashdale Falls, Giants Graves, Eas Mhor, Kildonan beach for its seals and otters and the forest trails are easy to access for mountain biking. Or relax and soak up the view and watch the native Red squirrel, the yellow wagtail patrol the burn and the swans on the bay that come down for the night from Avoca’s scenic garden.  More Whiting Bay Info here

Please note: There is a burn running alongside the garden which can be fast flowing during periods of heavy rain.’
