Pladda Cottage is a cosy, single storey character cottage situated in a peaceful cliff top location just outside Kildonan, 13 miles south of the Brodick ferry terminal. Bought in 2021 it has undergone a full renovation, and was lovingly refurbished by its new owners to provide upgraded quality accommodation, incorporating furniture and decoration made from reclaimed Arran whisky barrels, sustainable wood and the work of local artists.
Located within half a mile of the cottage are the beautiful Eas Mor forests and waterfall providing scenic walks, the unique and stunning library in the woods and Forest of the Falls café. During the peak season there’s also an outdoor covered pizza kitchen with seating.
Kildonan beaches and seals are about a mile away and a community café and shop are due to open in 2026 next to the Kildonan village hall which hosts year round community events at which visitors are made very welcome. The cottage is also on the 323 bus route with the bus stopping at the top of the drive, and on the Arran Coastal Way.
