Bridgend Yurt offers something a little different: an authentic Mongolian yurt in an elevated position at Bridgend Campsite near Shiskine.

Sleeping 2 guests, the yurt provides a comfortable and characterful base for exploring the south-west side of Arran, with countryside views and campsite facilities close at hand. The yurt was hand-crafted for the owners by Ulaan Taij, giving it a genuine and individual feel.

Bathroom & Campsite Facilities

Guests are welcome to use the Bridgend Campsite bathroom facilities rather than having a private bathroom inside the yurt.

The campsite facilities include shower and toilet facilities, and hand towels and toilet rolls are provided in the campsite toilets.

Living & Dining

The yurt provides a comfortable combined living and sleeping space.

A dining table seats up to 4 people, and books are available from the campsite reception.

Bridgend Yurt is situated on Bridgend Campsite, close to Shiskine on the south west side of Arran.

The yurt occupies an elevated position at the top of the campsite, reached via a grass slope.

Parking & Access

There is an allocated parking space beside the yurt for one standard car.

Parking is to the right-hand side of the yurt, with approximately 5 metres from the parking space to the entrance.

Guests should be aware that the yurt is in an elevated position up a grass slope at the top of the campsite, and the owner has identified steep/uneven access and a gravel surface among the access considerations.

Key Collection

Access is by key code.

The code is emailed to guests before arrival.

Refuse & Recycling

Guests do not need to manage the refuse collection arrangements themselves.

Bridgend Campsite takes care of refuse and recycling.

Safety

Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and fire-safety equipment are provided.

Good Housekeeping Bond

No Good Housekeeping Bond is required for Bridgend Yurt.
