Balnagore (sleeps 11)  and  Cairnfield (sleeps 10).

  • Rowanbank is a former farm and Post Office, situated in Machrie with spectacular scenery across the Kilbrannan Sound to Kintyre. The sea is only a four-minute walk down the adjacent lane. There is plenty of parking space and the local bus service runs both North and South from the roadside.
  • Sleeps up to 5 people: There is 1 king size bedroom (can become a twin on request) and a twin bedroom. There is also a dressing room with a 2′ 6″ single bed. Both bedrooms are en-suite, one with a separate walk-in shower.
  • Breathtaking views: Stunning sunsets over the Kilbrannan Sound and Kintyre, set amidst the scenic landscapes of Machrie Moor.
  • Historical charm: A former 19th Century farmhouse and Post Office, located approximately a mile from the Neolithic Standing Stone Circles. Rowanbank was built using part of a Neolithic Cairn and the remnants of the chamber can be seen sticking out of the barn foundations.
  • Modern comforts: There is a fully fitted kitchen adjacent to the hall/dining room with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There are a lot of spacious living areas within the property. The dining room has an open fireplace, dining table, board games and door to the garden. The large sitting room up two steps from the dining room, has an open fireplace and vaulted ceiling. There is a flat screen television with Sky Freeview and a DVD player provided. There is a utility room with a sink, washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing facilities and a coat rack in the hallway. There is also a W/C off the utility. Wi-Fi is available.
  • Outdoor amenities: There is a large, enclosed and maintained garden at Rowanbank, which runs the length of the house. Outdoor seating, outbuilding with a coal BBQ, and secure space for bicycles, paddleboards, etc. 
    There are spectacular views across Machrie Bay and over the sea towards Kintyre and the Beinn’s.
